My background and experience

I'm Luke — a freelance B2B writer from the UK (no, not London!) specialising in compliance, fintech, and enterprise SaaS. I graduated law school in 2016 and after a short time trying to find my way in the world, I began freelancing as a side hustle. One thing led to another, and it wasn't long until I was doing the whole freelance thing full time. I haven't looked back since.

Me summed up: Emergency services volunteer; passionate about regulation (no, really); amateur parrot breeder; AI sceptic; former army reservist; flight and air miles fanatic. I like to keep myself busy by travelling as much as possible and seeking out new experiences.

How I began B2B writing

I got my foot in the door not long after finishing law school. I pitched and pitched and pitched to various law firms in my local area until one day, a small personal injury firm gave me a shot at writing for their blog and before I knew it, I had a steady side gig.

I eventually decided to pursue writing as a full-time occupation in the spring of 2018. This was aroud the same time that the EU GDPR came into force. Everyone was writing about it, and hundreds of B2Bs were offering GDPR compliance solutions. This, along with other trends in regulation and enforcement, provided me with an opportunity to pivot into writing on assurance and compliance topics, and it has been my focus area ever since.

It's not all I write about, though. I've covered a wide range of topics along the way. Sustainability, power electronics, robotic process automation, big data, telecoms, human resources and HR tech, reskilling, cloud computing, and cybersecurity are all examples. It's not that I'm an expert in all these areas but rather that I have an innate ability to leverage your expertise and turn it into content that serves a purpose. It's something that has delighted my clients time and time again:

Why leading B2Bs work with me

I can sum this up in three points:

Looking for content that leaders value?

Since 2018, I've written more than a million words covering many areas of technology and beyond. Fintech to smart grids; IoT to digital transformation; EHS and sustainability to ISO standards and regulatory compliance; cloud computing to power electronics; RPA to big data; telecoms and mobile broadband to cybersecurity; HR and skillstech. The list goes on.

If you're looking for a B2B SaaS writer that's focused on high-quality content that performs, we'll probably be a good fit. If you think the same, let's talk!
